Being gay is a BEHAVIOR, not a race… If you dont like it then change yOUR BEHAVIOR! Find a women, then you can get married like everyone else!

This sounds like the same reasoning behind the old If you didn’t want Obama for president, you must be a racist response.

Homosexuals in CA can join in a civil union with EXACTLY the same benefits and privelges as any married couple has. The voters have done nothing more than say that they do not want the traditional meaning of the word marriage to be changed. There is no discrimination.

I’m not sure but I think people need to get over it and let everyone be happy. If you gay then good you deserve to be just as happy as a straight person. People don’t stop to think about what if they in the other persons shoes. People need to quit hating and discriminating and be happy. EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately not. All it did was prevent some people marrying. But there’s still a whole lot of straight people not marrying and not displaying behaviours befitting your stereotypical American family

The recent events in America have cast a massive shadow over what other countries think of America. It certainly overshadowed Obama’s success

Hi, how are you? April 26, 2009 at 7:11 am

Hate is not a value in my family.
That’s why my family voted no on proposition 8.

It is discrimination, to the person above who said it was not. I am being denied a right, that my straight brothers and sisters have. It is not legal for me to marry who I love. My family will not be recognized by the law.

, and no. civil unions aren’t EXACTLY the same as marriage. Civil unions don’t have a lot of the things marriage includes.

Anyway, separate is NOT equal.
